Five Stars

I lived at Chial for a year and I loved my time there, and in the surrounding Cayo area. Up on the mountain top, crisp & cool evenings are followed by foggy morning; These times are marked by the arrival of various species of toucans, humming birds and parrots. This is how each day began and ended for me while living at Chial Reserve. The dense canopy of the jungle keeps the temperatures down during the day, and encourages hiking along Chial’s beautiful nature paths. I enjoyed the location specifically, with the center of Cayo only a 5 minute drive away and the border of Guatemala 5 minutes the other way, adventure surrounds Chial. Jumping in the Mopan river to beat the heat, hopping across the border to grab a Gallo were a couple of my personal favorites.

Absolutely loved it!

Chial Reserve has got to be the most beautiful place in the Cayo district. I felt so safe staying there! And the birds!! I’ m an avid birder myself so it really was a treat to share the place with so many feathered friends.

Great shooting location

I had the pleasure of executing a photoshoot at Chial Reserve. Let me tell you I couldn’t wish for a better place to shoot engagement photos! Looking forward to being able to see how they dress us the place for a wedding, because as is, it would take your breath away.
